Choose djay if
You want to DJ live with a controller or turntables, play from streaming catalogues, or use four decks, a sampler and video mixing. It is the more complete performance tool.
Choose AuraJam if
You want a finished mix of your own tracks without installing anything or learning a deck layout, and you want to see why each transition was chosen. It also takes requests from guests’ phones at a party.

Can djay mix automatically?
Yes. Algoriddim describes Automix as "seamless automatic DJ mixes". AuraJam is automatic by default and shows the reasoning for each transition so you can change it.
Do I need to install AuraJam?
No. It runs in the browser. djay is an installed app.
